fox call bringing in deer

Has anyone experienced a deer coming into a fox call? Was squeeling a fox in yesterday, when a deer came right up as well. Any one else had this?

yes during the rut.

I presume it was a roe which came in.

The calls we use to pull in mating roe are very distressed sounds or a fiep and this will attract curious foxes also.

Very common indeed with roe. I've even had mutjac does show interest.

It also works the other way a lot of times you will see a fox coming to the Roe call sounds can be similar and when the buck is really up for rutting he will come in to a snot rag. Greek phil (Harry) Nice to see you being a good lad this time.

Aye November last year i was siting in the landy calling a fox when i saw a set of eyes of to my right 150 yds away this roe buck came troting and stoped about six feet from the car door i told him to bugger of and he obliged.

Yep....can't say what time of year it was but knowing what I know about roe deer now I imagine it would have been around August. It quite caught me by surprise to see a roe deer

Had fox's come to the roe call and deer, rabbits, hares and owles to a fox call. Odd really... guess we don't make the rules after all

Im going to stick my neck out here and say that maybe you were mistaken about the badger as ive never seen them pay any attention to a call of any sort ,maybe he was just going that way anyhow.

Its not common,i see it for the first time in 15+ years about 3 weeks ago
