Gaz_1989 9,539
I'm currently flicking between Redmills, Sneyds Special and Chudleys Working Crunch. My dog looks well on them all, the special made him hypo I think due to all the colours. Sneyds do a premium which is wheat gluten free and should be a top quality food. I'm back on redmills now. kevin from bristol 95
try using somthing with less protein most people use red mills racer before raceing ,hunting and that type of thing bit like a protein drink for weight lifters just use it when they need it so ive been told by people that do use it
rocky1 942
so do you lads who feed their dogs redmills and other greyhound food still feed them the same in the summer?
NOOK/ANNA 96
My 2 are on Beta Greyhound at min and are doing great on it. Found the redmills gave them loose stools.
rocky1 942
so when your dogs aren,t working yous still feed highprotein food ?
Shazza 52
I switched to Chudleys Greyhound racer about 2 months ago and mine all look in the peak of condition, glossy coats (no dandruff even my black one you can see your reflection on her), plenty of energy but not hyper and that includes the pet dogs as well. None of them have gained weight or become hyped, stools are dark, firm and a lot less in number Only one will be a working dog, she's 9 months at the moment, yet this food suits all of mine and i won't be changing it to anything else. Buy it online from http://www.greyhoundsuperstore.co.uk/displayprods.asp?curpage=2&qid=127&qdbquery=searchprodbycat&qtitle=Food as it's cheapest place i've found (and it lasts ages in comparrison to other brands). ruby jet 184
so when your dogs aren,t working yous still feed highprotein food ? I still keep mine on high protien gain 28 or dr johns platinum which is 20% and just drop them of the mince weather thats chicken or tripe but now ive started the pre season build up ive started to bring the mince back into there diet . Im not saying this will work for everybody just the way i do it and its worked for me mate. Atb rj

rocky1 942
i,ve drop from a 24% snedyswonderdog to 20% snedyswonderdog and drop the the tripe, mince, chicken untill i start working them and then they will move back up 24% and the raw next month
Shazza 52
Same as Rubyjet, if the dogs look great, don't gain weight or start bouncing off the walls with unspent energy then i don't see any reason to change thier food even if the excercise levels drop. Will be Chudleys greyhound racer all year round for mine too unless things change and i have to drop it. Will see how mine gets on this season, i can always add raw meat if she needs extra
