Ever since my pup was 6 weeks old me dad has insisted i leave a radio in his kennel for him to listen to,

Now does anyone else do this???

he recons it socialises him to loud music and instant shock and gives him a rytham when runing?

Now its not as much the music as listening to radio 1 all day and night would drive me mad but its the cost of the batterys as iam using 2 aas every week and they add up as he lives in a 2 ft by 3ft kennel in the back yard and theres no power to it,

so do you think its worth it for the dog??i hope so as its costing me dearly.

Oh crikey .... :11: That made me laugh

I know a lot of people who leave a radio on for the dogs, both in the house and out in the kennel. It does have a tendency to block out remote sounds that might set the dog off barking. Also keeps them company, I suppose. It's worth it, if you ask me.

my parents always leave radio on for their dogs ..as theres 6 in the house it stops them barking at any noises..even had a horse that had to have radio on or else it would try breakout of stable..so def works for company..but rythm sounds bit mad to me....left radion on for my dogs once came home to one brocken half chewed radio..they didnt like my choice of station.. :whistling::thumbdown:

me dad recons the easiest place to catch hares in them days where over liverpool way he recons the dogs used to murder them over there and thats why scousers allways recon they had the best dogs because they never tested them on proper game,His old mate BIG AL used to catch 2 out of 3 reguler around speke but when he came here dad recons his dogs couldnt catch a cold never mind a hare, maybe it was to do with the up bringing of the dog no one will ever know,
