Can only be hunted with a permit from NPWS on permission with a licensed rifle of suitable caliber and during daytime. No other method of hunting deer is allowed. It's all there on the NPWS website if you want to have a read of it.

Out my way it's fairly difficult to get the land, rifle and permit.

Deer cannot be driven by dogs either. Just stalking with rifle.

Illegal in the south entirely, Completely legal in the North during daylight, on permission :victory:

The countryside Alliance will state that it is illegal in the North, even though they know it isn't - They dont want Lurcher men at it in case it causes too much bad press...But its ok for the Stag Hunts....?

SACS will tell you it is legal - SACS are correct.
