The Duncan 802
Hi guys n gals, I went out with my good friend Chris today, his rimmie and my HW100S to thin out some vermin on one of my permissions. It was fairly windy, and the CZ .22rf with its 40 grain bullets showed their mettle when shooting into a clamp today. That said, the end tally was 5 rats (during the day) and a Magpie. Chris shot a 1 rat in the clamp, but I managed the other 4 - 1 with his rimmie, 1 at 35 yards for a qurtering headshot and 2 in a pig rearing barn where the rimfire would have done damage. Sometimes, air rifles aren't just the best tool for the job, they are the only tool for the job. The Maggie I nailed with the rimmie to be fair. 60 yard shot to the engine room. Goodnight black n white bandit! Cheers all, Duncan Quote Link to post

donky7 9
we did a rat cull sat night, site was a waste transfer place, humping was an understatement anyhow.... after a few hrs the total was just over 250 rats divided by 5 guns (air rifles) a great time indeed. Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
Why dont you make an air powered machine gun, sounds like that permission could do with it, great shooting... Quote Link to post
The Duncan 802
Hi Duncan. Sounds like it was a fun trip mate, nice shot with the rimmie Just seen your signature......wouldnt fancy your Dog food bill every week ATB. Bill. Close to quid a month on dog food Thanks for the rimmie compliment - I tend to take different tools when I go out to cater for changing eventualities, especially when I've a friend or two along. We actually also had a couple of 12 bores locked away, just in case... Nice going Donky7! I reckon when we go back under cover of darkness, following a low light and baiting regime for a few days, we may be just as busy Can you make an air rifle barrel get hot like a shotguns? I'll give it a go! And it'll cost less too All the best gang, Duncan. Quote Link to post
