North east finest 105
I owned the best collie x i seen very brainy dog, dug a fox first weekend i had it and he didnt want nothing to do with it. Believe it or not he didnt kill it because i didnt tell him to lol i found out you had to give him the go a head before he would go for somthing and this included anything people included he was a big 27tts dog. I nearly got rid of him after he embaresed me infront of about 6 people when he just looked at that charlie, but i give him another go. Next weekend went for a dig with crazymakem off hear got down to the fox and piked it up by the scruff got terrier on lead and give jake the go ahead and before the fox touched the floor the dog shook the life out of it. He ended up killing a load of fox and deer but i sold him to a lad of this site from down the middlands way. He was probably the best all round dog ive ever owned Quote Link to post

undisputed 1,664
My mates saluki x stalked rabbits to near the fence line...personally I think the stalking comes from the dog having too many runs on rabbits they have little or no chance of catching or had a bad experience on a fence. Personally it doesn't bother me. Never had a dog that would stalk charlie. Stalking isn't exclusive to collie blooded dogs Quote Link to post
