lunita 57
why leave her in heat for over 4 months! Quote Link to post
skycat 6,173
This is the reason why it is dangerous to leave jills in season: they are like cats: if they are not mated they stay in season all summer until the days shorten, and the chances of them getting an infection, particularly if they are not kept in ultra clean conditions, are very high. Chances are she is now on the way out with a bad uterine infection. I don't suppose there's any chance you want to actually take her to a vet? If that is the case then knock the poor thing on the head and learn from your mistake. 2 Quote Link to post

There's always one. Yes mate, i know that, and would advise him to get it to the vets. What i meant was, does anyone have any experience of a ferret with a serious uterine infection responding well to anti-biotics, or any serious infection that a ferret has come back from through the use of anti biotics? Just wanted to know for reference. Quote Link to post
