B.P.R 2,798
I've got a 10week old whippet pup that I've just been doing basic discipline with and a little bit of retrieve. I got a copy if 'purdys progress' and watched it last night. I'm wondering if there is anything I should do different from the DVD as he was training a lurcher or is it the same. I'm only asking as I've searched posts and it seems that some people feel the whippet needs a different approach. Just trying to do the best by the dog. I'm nt after a world beater or anything just a ferreting dog. Thanks very much. Lee Quote Link to post

B.P.R 2,798
On the DVD he uses a soft fluffy toy for te retrieve. Should the pup play with this all the time or should I keep it only for when we are retrieve training? Quote Link to post

DottyDoo 500
watch the dvd, read a couple a books, ask as many people as possible how they do it, then use yer own common sense to pick the methods/ways to train your own dog, all dogs are diffrent, an the handler should know them best 2 Quote Link to post
