B.P.R 2,798
What everyone's opinions of the greatest mma fights of all time? The most satisfactory fight for me was when kimbo slice got knocked out by Seth petruzelli within 30 secs. Seth only turned up at the event to watch but ended up fighting. There's also Anderson silva vs Forrest griffin. Anderson finished it with a 2inch jab as he was backing away. Greatest has to be wanderlei silva bs chuck liddel. Slugfest an those two are hardy as fcuk! What a fight. Just seen a re-play on te tv.

dare 1,103
Alex reid vs tom watson was a good fight 5 rounds of stand up like alex reid or not he proved his got heart that fight for me. Good fight for the future will be jimi manuwa vs nick chapman..was due to happen but nick pulled out . Was a nice fight when anderson silva lost too the chink. Would of been good too see how far lee murray would have got in the ufc had he not messed his life up.

gnasher16 30,046
i agree gnash i reckon he had a touch on his sentance too he stayed in morrocko Most lads at 30 years old given the choice will sit looking at 4 walls for 10 years at 2 mill per year tax free Work your jacobs off for 50 years for a bungalow on the coast....or look at 4 walls for 10 years for insane wealth at 40. Not much of a decision to make really is it......and good luck to him.
dare 1,103
Know what your saying but sure he could of earned a few million having freedom and doing what he enjoys. When you put it like that gnash you make me feel there is no point in working . Most do jobs they moan about and hate but stick at for the family sake..happy too go abroad once or twice a year and pay taxes which is spent on a lot of bullshit and the rich are bent and keep each other rich. I'd rather the pablo escobar life any day and if you meet the same fait you don't know any difference when your gone anyway. Way off subject but rant over

dare 1,103
Disagree about lee murray he went the distance with silva sure he lost but silva didn't want too stand up with him. I agree reid isn't no where near ufc top level but tom watson imo will 100% make it into the ufc. Is already rumour that jimi manuwa has been signed too the ufc and if not then he certainly will in 2012. When it comes to mma I guess I'm biased too watching uk fighters hence the ones I picked. You can't tell me the reid vs watson was not an entertaining fight?

oxo 441
Pretty sure Lee Murray would have done ok if he stayed in the UFC, he is as tough as they come and was improving steadily. Nice story about him sparking Tito in a streetfight in Chucks book i think it was.

Nice story about him sparking Tito in a streetfight in Chucks book i think it was. In Matt Hughes book Agree with Gnasher, the Griffin v Bonnar fight was great entertainment. Over the years i have seen some great ones that i really enjoyed. Pulver vs Penn 1, Couture vs Liddell 1, Couture vs Ortiz, many early fights were great to watch but are a countrymile away from todays technical fighters, anyone remember Abbott vs Mattua or Frye vs Takayama? gnasher16 30,046
Personally i dont think Lee Murray would have been technically good enough at the very highest level of the sport....he was an extremely violent man with a fearsome reputation locally and earned good money fighting before he had ever stepped into a cage or ring.....I remember seeing him fight as a kid maybe 16/17 against grown men with good fighting backgrounds it was probably comparable to watching Beckham play football as a kid or watching Elton John play the piano......it was obvious even to the untrained eye that this was a kid that fighting came very natural to. He was such a rough and wild tearaway sort of kid he just wanted to fight and build a reputation on the street...it wasnt till he realised the money that could be made that he walked into a gym.As regards the thing with Tito Ortiz theres all different versions of the same story but im told the version Pat Miletich described ( who was standing 5 feet away ) was the true one. Another great fight was Royce Gracie and Kimo ? not sure his surname....I think it was the first serious test Gracie had....back in the days when ufc was almost a proper fight !
