Ideation 8,216
Right, so i bred my best jill and had a cracking liter of 5 healthy kits. They are just over 9 weeks now, the one going has gone and the other 4 are still here. I took the jill out from them and put her back in the main court with the other jills. Within the week she has come right back into season, swollen right up now. None of the other jills are even close (jabbed earlier in summer). Now the things is should i get her jabbed now (post litter) or leave her. I'm planning on taking her down on monday night to get her jabbed, but just wondered if there would be any kind of problem seeing as she has just had a litter??? I'm looking at you Kay. (and others of course!). Quote Link to post

Ideation 8,216
That was what i was wondering, if the hormone injection would cause problems on the back of all the hormones that she has had rushing through her system having the litter. Quote Link to post
The one 8,489
Keep one of the hob kits and get him snipped he will bring the jills out of season as many times as you want and no need to pump them full of chemicals Quote Link to post
Rake aboot 4,936
I dinnae like the Jill jab,, Had a ferret die after it years ago and don`t like to give medication when I can avoid it, NOT saying don`t use it though,, it`s just my opinion.. My advise would be to wait a wee bit,, she probably won`t stay in season long at this time of year,, if she stays clean and healthy I`d leave her,, and get a Hobb snipped yah Tightwad Quote Link to post
Ideation 8,216
Yep, the plan is to snip one of the hobs this year, but right now that's not an option. I meant to do it this year but got caught short time wise. I'm no fan of the jab either, and/but as she is my best jill i want to make sure i do whats best for her. Quote Link to post

wabbit slayer 16
If you fancy giving it a go you could always use the old method! Get your Jill and wet your finger with a bit of spit, then gently rub her vulva with your finger for a few minutes. You may be surprised on how still she will be almost as if she likes it? Repeat twice a day until out of season. Simples. Quote Link to post

DogMagic 461
If you get REALLY kinky you could even lick it out! Lol! On a serious note, if you cant find a snipped hob i would consider putting her back in with the unsnipped hob. It will get her out of season which will stop any infections getting in. And its unlikely she will fall pregnant this time of year anyway. Quote Link to post
