This part isnt quite true,its not true at all actually,but you have to gloss certain events over We got in a bit of a fight right outside Limehouse police station once,maybe 20 yards away from the main entrance there was a guy unconscious on the pavement with his head leaking badly when 2 officers chose that precise moment to emerge from the station :blink:we were all put in seperate cells so no collaboration of stories and I ended up in a drunkards cell with horrific flatulence

im living in a 35ft x12 static on 2acres of land with all electric , gas and drainage and running water its better than being on an estate with moaning neighbours . i get round it by keeping pigs on the land and nothing [NO TEXT TALK] can do. and im not going anywhere else . definately wont be going into any housing estate again

If you're getting a caravan, make sure it's proper insulated, double glazing and what ever else. Shooting buddies brother lives in one with young family and suffered last Winter. To the extent himself and the brothers bought 25mil Kingspan insulation and literally boarded up where the kids sleep, including blocking off the windows. He reckoned heat was feck all use (they used up loads of gas), would just go through the bloody caravan and outside If I remember right, they had to move back to his parents for a spell when it got real bitter.

Living in a static is hard and it's a complete joke in the winter. I did it for years, it's our way of life but I'm telling you now, unless it's got really thick insulation all over, double glazing and all pipes boarded in you may aswell

Live in a tent in the winter. I have spent days trying to in freeze water and gas pipes just to get a bit of water.

 

If you do it in the right spot in the right way with regs you should be ok but don't forget it only takes one NIMBY dinlo to complain and you can wave it goodbye. Traveller or gorger trying to set this up makes a lot of people jealous to see someone living virtually for free.

get yourself a coach and convert it,i lived in one for five years ,panel it out in tongue and groove,with loads of insulation,get a wood burner and you will be sorted,if you get hassle,just move it,when they have gone move it back,i used to get everwhere in mine,north yorkshire moors were one of my favarite haunts and the west coast of scotland,you get more hassle of the council in a static,if its roadworthy and got a tax disc ,you can stay pritty much stay any where for a few nights,and then go back to your piece of land ,f**k i wish i still had that bus

due to the economic crisis, propertys are harder to buy and money has become tighter, so what do people think of buying an acre or so and plonking a static home on it. how easy would it be to so etc, cheers

cold in winter what a load of crap . get a decent 1 and its like a house. and as for heationg etc ive put a sceptic tank in and water supply was already on land and just pay for electric connection and gas bottles expensive to get set up but well worth it with no neighbours to complain

We had visitors down once from Sunderland,one of them had been shooting pigeons under a railway arch or loosed an arrow from an old compound bow at a target with no safety backdrop(bit difficult in a street) someone had seen this and reported it so the cops came round in their van,maybe 5 or 6 of them,they checked us over as usual and I normally got elected as spokesperson because I speak english,real english without "Aye A knar"(yes I know) or "Areet marra"(Hello officer)we had caught a few fox the night before,skinned them out,there was maybe 3 or 4 furless cadavers in bin-bag's waiting to be dumped,I was chatting to plod when I heard one of them quite shocked "Jesus christ,they are skinning peoples DOGS" as he peeked in the bags

I agree, we have a touring caravan, you have to use the right damned gas, ordinary Calor freezes, but Propane (orange or red cylinders) freezes at -42 degrees C so no chance of that happening in this country....
