i use the b/f and its good but not without its problems, first the box packed in when it was 10 months old but they sent me a new one three days later so well done but now the collar even when switched off discharges the battery and before anyone says keep it away from the magnet i have kept them in differant rooms and the collar still flattens the battery, its not been turned on as has been suggest as the lights are off so the battery has to be taken out from the collar after use which is not doing the screws any favours, its over a year old and has not had a lot of use, the advice from b/f is well its out of warrenty and you can buy a new one, and its impossable for it to happen.......but it is... :hmm:

you cant rely compare they ar no where near each other in price range iv never seen the bf in action but for the price on them id expect them to locate dig to a pull game! they dont even sell the collar and locator together for the locator its £223 and for the collar its £70 so thats £293 before you start talkin p+p where as mk3 ar £135! :big_boss:

I suppose its a question of what price do you put on a good dog...........best advice I was ever given was to allways buy the best you can afford.

buy the best you can afford, ihave a deben mk3 and it was ok spot on but the range was only about 8 foot max the worst thing about the mk3 was the collar its crap i modified mine but its still not good always tape it up, the b&f on the other hand takes a bit of getting use to but i have no complaints so far its been spot on and on big earths you can watch the dog moving around as i said buy the best you can afford
