mackem 28,144
Quote you know what I enjoyed plummers tales I think the statistic was that at one period of time his books were the most stolen from british public libraries I have one of the misprinted "Modern Ferretting" originals, only a small number were churned out before someone proof-read and spotted the spelling mistake.Like him or loathe him he certainly carved a niche for himself and has anyone since been more prolific? Stabs 3
I was going to answer just on lurcher books but seeing as none of you other fuckers have, I'll rate my favourite "hunting" books but I won't do it in order Lloydy - come on....he's the one we've been waiting for all these years and he did not disappoint Harcombe - take your pick but to me his latest (maybe not last?) was his best Dooley - Overlooked for reasons I don't understand. Fantastic book, and I really mean that Darcy - Scooby - the bloke does a shit load more than most and he loved that dog. A true testamant. Didriksen - A very entertaining writer who's done more than his fair share Quote Link to post
mackem 28,144
No ones mentioned Simpson's "Rebecca the lurcher" as their favourite Quote Link to post
