pointer 543
I walked upto a few hares today whilst out with hounds, they often sit tight and would be extremely easy to shoot. Your young and like many, including myself at your age,you want to catch stuff but you may decide in time that some things are best left either altogether or only taken at certain times of the year. Wallace1 17
get yaself out before light and sit and wait for daylight you will have more chance of them venturing out of the cover if you sit tight Edited July 23, 2011 by Wallace1 Quote Link to post

The Duncan 802
Why wouldnt you shoot a hare? and why not in july? have i done something wrong? Season - they breed through til september. I'll also offer any guidance you want - I've been airgun hunting all my adult life, and now into rimfires and shotguns too. You are welcome to join me on my permissions and I'm happy to show you the full works -marksmanship, fieldcraft, cleaning shot quarry, skinning, butchery and cookery. It may speed up your learning curve (I had to work everything out for myself when I was younger and it took time!). Good first post though - well done on embarking on a fabulous, productive hobby ATB Duncan 1 Quote Link to post

Good first post though - well done on embarking on a fabulous, productive hobby ATB Duncan that would be amazing! but i bet you live nowhere near me?? i think just being able to find the rabbits would be a good start but yeah ill give it a little while then ill see about going about and getting permission else where as in a month, there is a guy that buys a lisence of some sort from my friend, and he is the only one who can shoot there for about a year or so, he has a shotgun and air rifle. so will have to move else where to get some permission and hopefully in the end, some dinner Quote Link to post
