Guest Pat Posted November 26, 2004 Report Share Posted November 26, 2004 Hi everyone wonderd if I could ask your advice on somethin Ive left school and I havent got a job and I was going to do a course on game rearing when I left school but being a gamekeeper was what I wanted to do because I didnt know much about the gamekeeping side of things they said I should do this course on game rearing any way I dropped out of the course and dont have a job now. I still want to be a gamkeeper And I am thinking about re applying for the course for next september and getting a job until then Ive been going beating a couple of times and shooting. and wonderd if you could give me any advice on how to have a better chance of getting on the course. and would you choose this carrer as there trying to ban shooting now arent they.any advice would be great thanks. Having a job that you enjoy believe me is half the battle!...the other half we all do...the working bit!!! Better to enjoy it and get maybe a bit less cash than a job you hate that pays more..but thats just me...horses for courses though suppose. Guest Pat Posted November 30, 2004 Report Share Posted November 30, 2004 Ive got the pest control job if I want it and its good pay. but my hearts still on being a keeper anyway the guys gave me a trial period up till christmas to see if I like it and if I dont I can leave no hard feelings. anyway when I go beating on saturday Im going to ask a women who I know for her advice as she runs a game farm and knowws loads of keepers than Ill see how it goes from there.
