:thumbs: I,m 55 ,been at it since childhood ,I don,t want to get all Darcy about it , but that feeling when a hare risea or you get the first rabbit of the night is still as strong and as hard to explain as ever . The nervous excitment that takes over when your calling a fox in has never waned , the pride I feel for a dog that does it,s job well still wells up in my throat ,familiarity has had no impact on me at all , still get excited , still have a sleepless night before going anywhere promising and long may it continue. :thumbs:

i mite go up scotland wid me pup at the weekend, on the moors for a little nose [experience, blue hares]

 

i bet the grouse keepers up scotland love you :icon_eek: why kill hares at this time of year when full of young or nursing theres plenty of time to flush them to the gun in the wintertime no pup ever lost out from being held back a month or two, 33 years in the game you would think youd know better :thumbdown:

im only a young lad so half only being lamping about 11 r 12 years but there is no better felling in this world for me when i slip the dog and he sees his quarry at the end of the beam and then the race is on and when the dog catches i do be running down the field like linford cristy that feeling just cant be beating
