Guest MOLLY
Read the instruction booklet thoroughly....it can be quite complicated if you want action shots etc. Especially using the TV mode, you have to have your shutter speed, light etc right. And remember to follow the subject, move with it whilst taking the shot. I use the sport mode the most, cant get away with the TV yet Get picasa http://picasa.google.com/ or something else downloaded cos the 400 tends to take dark pictures and you will need something to lighten them. Millet knows more than i do, its all been trial and error But if you are patient you will get some brilliant shots... Action.. And posing, the detail is amazing.... MOLL. Guest MOLLY
You cannot. This camera (or lens) is simply not for that...ive tried and to be honest my old, old sony cybershot was better. You see, unless there is good enough light the Cannon will not take a photo, and nothing you can do will change its mind if you have another 3 people with you lamping the subject then you should be ok I am hoping however someone else will come on and tell me it is possible and that i have'nt had a setting right, because that was the biggest disappointment for me since i go out mainly at night. Good luck, you will have loads of fun trying to figure it out MOLL.
