I do ferretting and would like to work a dog of some description but people im speaking to say get a whippet but my dad and his dad who used to do loads of rabbiting used a jack russle and anyone advise me?? Cleanspade 3,322 Posted July 20, 2011 Report Share Posted July 20, 2011 your dad probably used the terriers for bushing in. marking and nailing the odd bolter slipping the net. if thats what your looking for a terrier will be just the job. if you want the dog to catch a lot of rabbits. a small lurcher would fit the bill.
