Good to hear Crush is doing so well, was always interesting to me with them being so close in age. Rogues 24.5" think she's done now. Would like to see your pics of Crush so put them up when you get chance. Rogue retrieved pretty well - not to hand - but about 5ft away which I was pleased enought with to start.

Just got in from a last minute wander......was'nt up for it to begin with but glad i went now because my pup caught her first rabbit, was a good run aswell to be fair, the young bunny stood her up on the spot an managed to get around her an to the safety of the hedge only to be bounced back off and picked up on the next strike.them half growns can still make fools out of most dog's at times.

Now i know what some of you might say, that i'm a SUMMER HUNTER an tha.............but the way i look at it is my pup is 9 months old and has'nt aquired the the tools that she will need come the winter and would be better off honing her skills now rather than in the tougher seasons ahead, makes sense to me but maybe others will disagree with it.

Off to bed now but will add some pix of the monster rabbit tomorrow ............:whistling:

Well done mate, my bitch is 9 months now and ive just started taking her out for an hour here and there, she is doing ok although she hasnt had one yet. she is beddy/grey x whippet and 21tts. Nice to see a dog of similar age catching :notworthy: ATB with her. Neil.

Well done mate, bet you're chuffed. I'm still waiting for that feeling. My pup is just over 10 months old and yet to make a kill. He hasn't had that many runs to be fair, just a few daytime rabbits when I've been exercising him off the lead and they have got up infront of him. He managed to get hold of one the other week but then dropped it when it squeeled - must have been a bit of a new experience for him. I didn't know whether to laugh or to cry  lol! Nice to hear some pups around his age are coming on nicely though! I'm sure it's just a matter of time. ;) ATB for the season
