sparko 0
I was In the woods last week counting deer and found a couple of warrens that have little growth around them so am thinking of giving my girls a run out at the weekend, I just wondered If anyone else Is ferreting at the moment...We finished In early march this year and its a long wait for them before winter comes... fcuktheban 140
I admit I went out today but had to do it since the kits went through all my frozen rabbit. Didn't come across any small rabbits and bolted 5 so it was a good day. I used a new hob I was told was no good but he did a great job for me. The first rabbit that was out popped out of a hole that wasn't netted. The ferret had hold of it's ankle and I gave it a whack with my priest, good night fuzzy pants. 1 Quote Link to post

goldfinger 135
Don,t forget that they let you on to do a job of rabbit control,if you don,t do it they will get somebody that will. You need to do enough to keep all party's satisfied, both yourself and the owner/occupier. Quote Link to post

sparko 0
Yep thats the way, Its never bothered me either...The only downside Is that Its mainly hedgerows on my ground and the growth is so thick and grass so long that its a daunting task...Thats why i was pleased to find these two burys clear In the woods...I`ll give them a run out this weekend....Cheers Quote Link to post
ryangolding 4
ive had to do it the last couple of days, to secure the permission, then landed 1 farm 50-60 acre, 1 stables similar acerage and a golf course, bit more to go at. Happy days Quote Link to post
The one 8,494
Im no keen on summer ferreting but the alternative is lamping and that's too much like a night shift to me So ferreting it is and at least you know the burrows should be empty , Quote Link to post
