I use the Beaphar shampoo. Mine get bathed twice yearly, when they are moulting to get rid of the old coat. Washing them too often dries the skin & coat and makes them smell worse as they over-compensate to replenish their coat oils. And yeah, ferrets are generally marked down at a show if they smell of shampoo instead of a ferret! As others have said, clean bedding etc reduces the smell anyway.
