It all starts with a bird having a look..

The bird makes a dive and hits the water..sorry I couldnt get the dive but they drop like a stone..

The bird has the fish but struggles to get out the water, this is the crucial time, an ospreys feather are not water proof, all the time it is in the water the feathers are absorbing water, and will make it more difficult for the bird to get out with the fish.

The bird is out the water, struggling with the fish has actually turned the bird in the water.

Up and shes on her way

The bird turns the fish so that its streamline with less wind resistance and shes on her way back to the nest..

There brilliant shot mate, what camera/lenses do you use?

Thanks for the comments guys..the camera for these was a Nikon D700 and the lense a Nikon 400mm f2.8..But I usually use a Nikon 300mm F4, the 400mm will break your back through time :icon_eek:
