When to put Jill back with kitts

Hello All,

 

After a bit of advice please,

 

Have weaned my kitts of the jill for 2 weeks now (she is on her own), but was wondering when i can put the Jill back in with the kitts i have kept back for myself?

why have you taken the jill away from the kits. i have got four jills in with my kits no problumwith them.

I always like to take the jill away from the kits for a good fortnight or a month ,it gives the jill a chance to dry up and let her have a break and build some condition back up .If you dont do it the kits might still be trying to feed from the jill till there rehomed ,or whatever

Thanks all for your replies, i just wanted to remove my jill as she has lost a fair bit of condition, to give her a chance to dry the milk off and put some weight back on.

 

I was thinking by giving them a decent amount of time away from the jill, it might stop them trying to suckle her ....
