If something needs to be sorted out, it is not with Mr. Schwab, but Mr. Mason. If there is a claim there, the way to handle it is to knock on Mr. Mason's door and talk to him like a gentleman in a calm and reasonable way. If there is a genuine misunderstanding, I suspect it will be sorted out. I have not heard many people running down Mr. Mason before. The fact that this complaint comes to the boards before it goes to the man himself is an odd thing in my opinion. Who does business like this and expects good things to come from it? Who gives away an old and toothless dog to someone they apparently do not know very well, and does so without signed paper but expecting something to come back? This is a dog that was no longer convenient for Wex to own, as he himself suggests, and the market for old toothless dogs is decidedly thin, as we all know. Mr. Mason did right by the dog, for it has not suffered or fallen through the cracks to be forgotten at the back of a cold wet kennel. The dog has found a good home where it is much appreciated by an adult with a genuine last name and a stable address. I am happy for the dog. Wes may want to re-strike the deal now, but the place to strike the deal is on paper before the transfer, not on the boards afterwards. As for those of you who want old toothless dogs at the end of their working career, perhaps that's a list they can pin on this board. Bet it's a short one.

So Mr I write loadsa books Burns and have a terrier blog page etc etc....... What would you know about old toothless dogs? No doubt you are out working your dogs week in week out on the very hardest of game that you can find in the USA, I see by your threads that you obviously keep the highest standard of worker in your kennels and that you are regularly digging to your dogs in some big hard places. I'd say now that you have spoken on the subject this will all be resolved. I think we are all aggreed that it was the underhand way in which the dog was passed on that is in question here. Maybe Rudi did not know the gentlemans aggreement that was reached over the dog before he was passed on , but IMO £££signs have now gotten in the way of anything being resolved. I think Mr Mason is the 1 that has the most to answer for in this dispute. Wex, Mark P, I hope you can all sort it out, but I think it's a bit strong to paint all those on the continent with the same brush, on that note I think all have got the message loud and clear that G.Mason is dishonnest and untrustworthy. my concerns would be with the dog if it is still being worked as an "old toothless dog "as mr burns puts it

I've had an idea shwabby why dont you donate all your profits from "JET", to the FELL AND MOORLAND WORKING TERRIER RESCUE FUND. You could ask mason to donate his fee as well it wouldn't make things right but it would go a long way to show people you aren't it just for money.

Having started the thread i feel compelled to bring an end to it. The aim of the thread was to highlight an injustice and to let people know what was going on. To be quite honest mr mason shouldnt have needed to be contacted. Myself or Markp should have got a call and there are no excuses for this simple as that. And as for going down to masons kicking off, that would achieve nothing and talking things through with him would achieve nothing. The facts are he sold a dog when he shouldn't have, the dogs now in germany and it shouldn't be. All the defending of these 2 quite bewilders me, i dont know about you lot but i think i did what was right. Now its up to the shwabmiester and mason to right their wrongs and return the dog. As i have stated the thread was to highlight issues, because if it were me or you doing this shit. Well we would be emblasoned across the pages of certain working dog periodicals. So with that i will ask everyone to bring an end to this, so long as the schwabmiester brings "Jet" back. yours in sport WEX. i would be proud to own one like jet...but i do not. so stop talking to me about doing anything with this dog. i expressed thoughts on the things and the insulting that are going on here....i think my english is not so bad that you did not understand it.
