Thanks Atb Youlden With it been a variation for a gun thats not on your licence already you will have to be granted a .223 slot, which i think means sending in an application form with written permission etc. If i am wrong i will soon be corrected Quote Link to post
welshhound2 20
dont know what your firearms licencing dep are like but with ours they tend not to like giving out centerfire certs, have gone for a .243 my self and have been shooting for quite a long time but still they have insisted that i get a mentoring sponsership before i get the .243 on my cert why i dont know? Thanks Atb Youlden best thing to do mate is speak to your fao,he will guide you through it,you have to have good reason for having one and the other thing is if the land has not been passed for a 223 they will have to be a land check etc unless you have or will get an open cert,if you have a 22lr you must already have permission to shoot over land so i cant see a problem, but as i said, just a quick chat with your fao and see what he says. good luck, pip Quote Link to post

fox_hunter 1
Yeaa got 90 acres which my 22 is passed. And is Defo suitable for 223. Ok. I'll put a variation in and see what he says? Can only put me in right direction or say no or yes! Quote Link to post
