bullmastiff 615
If you've got a scope on a rifle etc then use that to look at it, it's better at collecting the light than binos!! Fastdogz see if your camera has got a night function, usual symbol is a moon or star. nice photos bill, shaking less than I was!!! and a bigger zoom by the looks of it!!! bullmastiff 615
Once the moon is totally eclipsed the Milky way should become clear and easy to see!

Ossie 11
looking good from where i am. i can look through my french doors & see it! last time i saw a really good lunar eclipse i was only a littl'un, my grandad got me & my brother round, we sat in his kitchen and watched it. that one was only a partial eclipse, but it was really spectacular, because it happened early evening, so it was still relatively light. a good memory to get a pic you need to use a really long exposure! Guest Frank
If it was windy, would be good for a couple of hours lamping. Frank.
Guest Macnas
Just in from watching it reappear once more, cloud made the actual eclipse very murky to try and see, but it cleared up as it started to come out of it, just beyond the half-way mark as I quit and came inside to warm up.
