wife 1 Posted March 3, 2007 Report Share Posted March 3, 2007 it could well be the case,to the dogs they rats and when we put the ferret in when we get a mark it could be a rat bolting,but i have heard this mentioned before,will do what i do with foxes and shoot them first and let the dogs have a shake for marking the tree roots or drystone walls that the squirrels are in Quote Link to post

Actually I think that it is now illegal to hunt them with dogs - only rats and rabbts are allowed, other than no more than two dogs allowed for flushing them to the gun or tracking and retrieving them if they have been wounded Quote Link to post
