Who lets there dogs

Just as title says, who lets there dogs pick up corvids. Ive got a friend who says he never lets his springers pick them up just incase if there not dead they will go for the dogs eyes. Whats your views on this ! Thanks

Leven but moving along to my work in about 2 months along the coast onces the got my cottage ready.

Work at balcaskie estate, estate worker/ gamekeeper. Working with the keeper from another estate at the past year trying to get grey patridge numbers up. YOU ?

You work at Balcaskie......ffs am bringing birds to you on Monday mate......... :laugh: I run the Game Farm up at Kennoway...i organise stuff through David D....... :thumbs:

Theres a buch of older guys who have the syndicate shoot on the bottom half of the estate, we take nothing to do with it. 3quarters of the birds you bring will still be alive next year. Think last season the shot 30 out of 600 lol. Once they die out we will be taking over. What time you dropping the poults of at, maybe nip down if a get a chance. Wheres your game farm in kenoway about, never new there was one.

to the origional topic-my cocker bitch will retrieve magpies dead or alive but only dead crows as i think she got a peck from one when a young dog .i tend not to send her out for crows now just in case

had an old springer did,nt like to pick crows so never used to send her but one day i dropped a crow and the dog ran in to pick it or i thought she did turns out the crow was carrying half a slice of bread in its beack the old bitch ran out ate the bread and left the crow.Now i don't send the spaniels but if the terrier is with me she likes to do the job and likes it and even more if they are only pricked blood thirsty little b####r.
