Hayleynewland 0
Hello I am hoping someone on here can help. My working spaniel had a litter on Wednesday. They are all going to working homes (with the exception of the one bitch) and the new owners have requested that they have their tails docked. I have contacted my vets and a few other local vets and they won't do it. We have letters, shotgun licenses etc from the new owners but still can't get anywhere. Can anyone suggest anywhere in Northumberland that would be able to help Many Thanks Quote Link to post

TRF-JRs 6
3-5 days maximum is the usual, like others have said it would've been better to do your homework before they were born. Hope you get sorted Quote Link to post
ggw 5
Cestria in chester le street, i think its three days. Be worth giving them a ring 0191 3885125. Good luck Quote Link to post
spec 45
it's legal up to five days, but most vets prefer to do it at 3. After five days it has to be done under anesthetic, so today is your last chance. As others have said, you should've sorted this before pups were born. I've an undocked cocker due to her breeder not getting their act together, and her full tail has been nothing but a pain. I do sympathize that it's ridiculous that your regular vets won't do it- it shouldn't be this hard to get them to do a legal procedure after all!- but unfortunately that's the way it is. Sorry to sound harsh, hope you've found somewhere. Quote Link to post
