I have read in the past that on some cars if the Battery is off for a certain period of time the Imob will need programing again .... Quote Link to post Share on other sites

That could happen mate and the stereo if it is key coded...what about linking your lamping battery to the battery lead's before taking the old battery of..that way all the stuff that need's constant power will be ok.. ...i had to get a new battery to my navara just before the engine went bang and it cost me £90.
