Stewbell 0
Hi Guys, Just wonderd if some of you could maybe assist me on something. My bull cross is currently 7 months old and i have noticed that her coat has in some places started to go a light brown (shes a black) ha, is this normal or do i need to start giving her something to make it go back black? also ive notice that her skin under her coat is a little bit flakey now not sure if this is due from her running through rivers and mucky mud water etc so hopefully some of you guys maybe to give me a few tips on this or if anyone else has come across or has the same problem with there dog. cheers Stew

gnipper 6,518
Sounds like she's just moulting out the puppy coat mate.
lunita 57
you could always add some more oil to her diet if you think she has dry skin..but if shes malting probably stop being flaky after.
mally 832
As already said brush her out with a blunt hacksaw blade mate. I'd also give her 5ml of linseed oil in her feed every day. You should see an improvement in a couple of weeks. (available from equestrain suppliers Don't give her the linseed oil you put on cricket bats!!)

Guest FTBBTH
its probably just puppy fur as said, hacksaw blades work well but, ive recently purchased a furminator, if you look on the internet theyre about £6? i got mine for something like that. no pain to the dog and liturally 5-6 brushes over and its gone. and if its quite coarse compared to the rest, boil some mackerel or other oily fish, feed her that twice a week or so until his/her coat is shiny all over, to suppliment that brush with a soft brush every day and it will bring a glisten to the dogs coat. atb
