trigger2 3,145
The numbers are very impressive. It would be nigh on impossible to do here, there simply arent the rabbits, on my ground anyway. Mine are out on the lamp probably 2-3 nights a week on average, more when the weather is right and less when its frozen or bright. They are out bushing most days though and at least once a week ferreting. If feel mine work hard for not much reward, i would love to see how they'd do on good ground. the same oppatunities are there for evrybody with car Tyla,, you only have to get in it and drive to a good rabbit spot,,, dont get me wrong if your happy getting a dozen local as i often do,,, then thats fine .... but lads often say on here,"you cant get that many round me",,, no shit!!!,,, get out there and drive this aint a dig at you Tyla,, just an obsevation about yousing the above statment Aye, but seven nights a week for 7 months? With all the other folk apparently doing the same? And you telling me that they are still bagging up 20-30 + rabbits 7 days a week at the end? All of them? You average 25 rabbits a night 7 days a week, which was what was claimed, for 7 months, and that's 5,250 rabbits. Over the season, and obviously more when you take into account all them high 20's, 30's - 60's that folk chat on about. And that's on land where lots of others hunt / poach as well? Fantasy land. If you believed all the folk you here speak, we wouldnt be able to walk down the road without climbing over the rabbits, squeezing past the deer and moving aside the sea of foxes. wheres the claim of a average of 25 rabbits 7 nights a week over 7 months i dont see it. your just making things up to suit you there. a claim of 25 rabbits a night over 7 months, not one person as said they do this. i think that puts you in fantasy land. You said you were out seven nights a week if only doing in the 20's, but might give them a night off if doing higher numbers, and said you ran even if the ground was frozen. Just figuring on an average. Edited July 16, 2011 by Ideation Quote Link to post

Simoman 110
I'm out 2, perhaps 3 nights during the season and a couple of times a week during the day. In the past i have travelled with the dogs and visited various counties, as wilf said, different terrain and environment can test your dog. One of mine has had a good first season, i'm very chuffed with him and what ability he has demonstrated, this season his workload will increase along with my expectations and we shall see what happens....... windyhill 30
everybody seems to travell, ive sussed it out your all travelling to each others ground as the dogs you have where bred for the area you live in and the game has got wise to your dogs, hence you travel to new areas where the rabbits dont know your dogs style,as they cant catch the numbers in the area you live in could i be right??? mackem 27,018
hence you travel to new areas where the rabbits dont know your dogs style Rabbits dont really have the capacity to suss out a dogs running-style,with dogs its just hard and fast, thats a running dogs style, rabbits educate to the beam in heavily lamped areas, first flicker acriss a field and they high-tail it for cover. 1 Quote Link to post

mackem 27,018
Fox is no longer legal running-dog quarry, and you didnt mention fox,you stated rabbit, rabbits dont work out an individual dogs style, they work out that light at night equals get-the-f*ck-outta-here,the reason that the people who travel get the booty is just that, they travel, some areas get hammered nightly winter and summer alike, some dont, thats the crux of it. 1 Quote Link to post
