its not good going its incredible, 10.000 a year is 192 a week,,, thats 52 weeks a year , not just 6 month of hunting from sep to march ish. as i said thats some tally and dedication,,,, who has done this with one dog ideation???

feck me i aint got that many with me (air rifle+ shotgun) 192 in a week , you must have Tons of rabbits there. you done well to get a dozen by where i live with the dog

Reminds me of the computation Plummer once did in a shooting news article showing how many rabbits would need to be caught to pay off a profit hunters average sized mortgage,I think in the same article he mentioned the large numbers caught by an itinerant scottish forestry worker called Lakin or larkin

Lamping 2 sometimes 3 nights a a week in season and out everyday just general mooching lettin the dogs find their own game for a couple of hours..come early october they are usually razor sharp fitness wise...atb stabba

Did Trigger not say, 7 nights a week if only taking in the 20's, and might have a night or 2 off in the week if doing 30's, 40's, 50, 60's. Even if you were doing low 20's 7 nights a week you would do over 5000 between september and march. Just doing the maths.

to be honest mate, surely you catch around the thousand Mark mate if your out on this good land that's only 40 rabbits a week over 6 months. I think many a people who are out alot can do that. just from your pup night that's over the weekly quota you would need, but 10000 that's average of 27 a night, every night for the whole year that is some challenge

as much as i can give them some weeks it will be 7 nights lamping and day work then other weeks it could only be 2 nights lamping but to nights is the minimum they get most weeks in season its 5/6 nights.

with all these rabbits been caught how the fcuk is there any left out there.i am out maybe 3,4 nights a week when the conditions allow but i have 3 lurchers and very rarely i would take the same dog out 2 nights in a row but i am also out in the daytime moching or ferreting with my whippets and i would get on a good week about 60 or 70 but 40 to 60 a night with 1 dog is pure bollox
