i took mine out once, got a bit cold and wet and we both went home after half hour and had another hot chocolate and sat here keyboard hunting, much safer...

Penis measuring time.

its funny when i struggled to hunt years ago with no motor, trying to get a lift, shite lamp and battery that weighed as much as the dog, i lived for hunting, hated the summer, really looked forward

i try to lamp twice a week, ferret once or twice a week unless i have a paying job on when it might be more, and i try to day walk twice a week, the daywalking im lucky with as i can get 4-5 runs local to me and be home within 3 hours

if i am only catching upto 20 rabbits a night my dog will go out 7 nights the week. i give my dog the odd nights off through out the season.

i will rest him after i have had decent nights out top mid 30s, 40s and 50s the amount of rest depends on how hard hes had to work for the bag.

buy being worked regular they seem to pick up less injurys. i even run my dogs on frozen ground.

As much as I can and I also like to have a travel about to get them on some different terrain and out of there same old, same old comfort zone.....I also like to see other good dogs work as to me that will educate you as to what type of standard you should be setting yourself.

You may have something in your kennel that you think is the dogs bollocks, but take it up on the hill, on to big stubbles, out in the daytime or places it is seeing more game than you can shake a stick at and it may not be all you though it was ;)

20 rabbits a night!! There is nowhere anywhere near me where you would get that many runs a week never mind a night. Good on you!
