HarveyTheHunter 6
hello just doing a little review of my mtc viper 10x44. well first things first its a amazing scope!!!!!! the scope is happily mounted on my wheirach hw 97k and i now get the best perfornce out of my 97k as a rifle with a bad scope wont alow you to shoot to your ability. the reticule is great i find it easyer to use than mildots as their isent as big gap between them and the mtc scope has a multi aim point reticle wich is basicaly a smaller line inbetween the two larger lines. the scope is desinged for small caliber rifles so a 12ft/lbs air rifle and a .22 rimfier rifle, the scope is in favior of these as you can get better accuracy out to longer ranges and shot range as most .22 air rifles have a loopy trajectory so the pellet will rise then drop the the scope has lines above the center cross so you can aujust propberly and make a good shot. Now onto the accsories. it comes with a side wheel, sun shade, flip up covers, 30mm mounts and allen keys, leaner e.t.c. all these are very usefull and you dont need to buy any more accesories for your scope as they all come with it and they all make the scope that little bit better. the scope has a realy good feature on it wich is lockeable turrets. these are realy handy when keepping it stored or out on the feild as when storing the rifle they turrets may get knocked and they wont move unlike other scopes with turrets this is handy to keep your zero also when your out on the feild you can make a fast aujustment if you need to aujust for the wind or your shooting out to a long distance. paralax: the paralax is very very handy when hunting or doing comps! the paralax is used to focus the scope at a certain range say your looking at a rabbit and you dont know how far it is just turn the paralax round until it foucuses on the rabbit then see what number has lined up with the dot and thats the range the rabbit is at so now you know what the pellet or buller will do at that range. the IR (illuminated reticule) is great when lamping or shooting in low light conditions! if their isent alot of light left just turn your IR on and set the brigness and then you can see your reticle and can now take a shot. well i think i covered everything now just to add my concusion. basiclay a while ago i broke the paralx some how and i blame it on my self because the scope is very sturdy!! now i had to use a sp 6-24x50mm sp raptor scope worth £200 for a while and once i evantualy sent it of to mtc and they gave me a new one back so i just had to go outside and use it and wow i forgot how good it is! its very very clear and just ideal for my air rifle took no time to zero then i did some long range shooing and becuase of the paralax and the reticule being so good i knew where the pellet was going to hit and at 60 yards i shot a empty 12g shotgun cartrage strait of the fence! well hope this may help some people decide on what scope to get. i may of missed a few things so just ask if you whant to know more harv Quote Link to post
