Just watching a thing on the tv about a class of 9 year olds, f**k sake, loads of them cant read or write!!!.......shocking, the parents should be ashamed of themselves!

And hows this for a clever idea by the teacher, put the disruptive kid next to a kid that actually wants to learn as a role model........result......the poor kid that wants to learn gets driven mad!!!

wtf!

Wife friends kids can't read or write and have no discipline at all. When they are misbehaving my wife and I can control them easily but they literally laugh in their parents faces. I gave the silly bitch a piece of my mind when she said school isn't important they can just learn it at evening classes when they are older :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash:

One of the kids is 11 and about 4 inches shorter than my 4 year old as her mum is fussy and has passed it on to her kids.

What channel was it on? Might see if I can find it on catch up.

Schools these days ... tied up with so much red tape and bureaucracy, filled with shit teachers. There was a kid in my kids' school with severe behavioural problems. Kicking doors, destroying the class etc. How did they handle it? Told the other kids to 'ignore' him, and bollocked them if they didn't. My son was in his class. Came home one day and threw an epic tantrum :icon_eek: when I asked him what he was playing at he said 'you're supposed to ignore me until I finish' I set him straight I can assure you. Then I went into school and raised the issue with his teacher. I was told the disruptive child was getting one to one attention now. Only to find out he was in the office with the secretary building lego all day and when he was good in there he was allowed to choose a friend from class to play with him! :censored: It took them months to get him the support he needed. And when I asked what his mother was doing to help him I was told she had 4 more at home just the same :wallbash:

I make sure mine get the at home support and encouragement they need. They just got their reports and all are really good; my son especially, scoring a year ahead of his class, one of the girls with exceptionally good behaviour and helpful attitude, the other excelling in reading and maths. I don't just say their my pride and joy - they really are, and I make sure that I do my job as a parent the very best I can. Times when I've struggled, I've gotten help for myself so I can help them. It's not rocket science is it.

I despair for the state of this country in another 20 years when these little hooligans are adults raising hooligans of their own.

Brilliant attitude, just as it should be IMHO :thumbs:

One of the mums was watching her child on the cctv behaving like a complete twat and the mum was laughing, to be fair the dad ended up in tears.......

My god, I was a complete scroat at school and was explelled and out working just shy of 15, but I will be damned if I will let my kids make the same mistakes I did, they deserve better than that from me.

That's just it Wilf! I was a bugger in school - things at home weren't grand. Nobody was supporting me really. I scraped by, and left early, and I've always regretted it. I didn't have any encouragement, nobody seemed to expect much from me or care one way or the other. NO WAY am I letting my kids feel that way. They are far too valuable - and I tell them that every day.
