damascus barrels

Recommended Posts

I've rebrowned an old side by side just to see if I could do it; "Browning" is a chemical reaction between the browning fluid and the heated gun metal and doing it at home in Mums oven and a blow lamp is not the best way but it worked, sort of.

The only way to get rid of the marks is to "Brown" again; it's not like doing stone chips on your car.

With my limited understanding of Damascus barrels I didn't think they are ment to be "Browned" but left to see the workmanship.
