gnasher16 30,535 Posted July 14, 2011 Report Share Posted July 14, 2011 Any of the boxing lads going to watch the fights at the weekend ?.....Big night for East London with Kevin Mitchell v Jon Murray and Nicky Cook v Ricky Burns......sadly i dont think either of our boys will win though Kevins in much better shape than his last few fights..... Looking forward to the Bellew/Mckenzie rematch as well should be another exciting fight..... Guest THE BEATNICK Posted July 14, 2011 Report Share Posted July 14, 2011 mitchell really was poor last time so reckon he will have prepared for this one but even so i think murray will have to much for him, we agreed gnash its all about some reaching their best and some going by their best and i think this is what the burns/ cook fight will show although i think cook will prove a real handful for burns the fact that burns is still improving should see him win on points,bellew/ mckenzie another good match but i dont think it will go the distance with a late stoppage in favour of bellew. Mitchells an emotional kid and he fights that way,his younger brothers exactly the same they still have a little too much streetfight type of anger in them........his mind was all over the place last time out but he seems bang on for this one....as for Nicky Cook,think it could be once too many times to the well for him,hope im wrong...but the kid Burns is on a roll right now and has the momentum and confidence going in. ginga john 268 Posted July 16, 2011 Report Share Posted July 16, 2011 I have supported Mitchell from a kid at West Ham, this is going to be an up hill struggle for him and he's had a few hiccups in training This fight was supposed to be last week at the O2 but was put off for a week due to Kevin having a "virus" I got a refund on the tickets but it was a surprise for the wifes birthday so that put a dampner on things I wish him luck but i think he'll need a lot more than that to get the better of Murray Iv'e only seen Cook fight once i think, so i'll go with him for this fight Quote Link to post Share on other sites
