I got myself a bit of an allotment recently, bramble heaven more like :laugh:

Not been used for 10+ years  So i set up some nest boxes and put up nut feeder up for the birds.

Well...it had to happen didn't it, after a week of harmony i found this :censored:

Some good came of it though as two hen pheasants flushed when i went to it, they'd been

picking up the fallen nuts.

Luckily a mate gave me a couple of traps a bit back, so all i had to do was make a tunnel.

Job jobbed, now it was only a matter of time. The following day the mesh was in the worse state and the little :censored: had munched more of the wood :censored:

Yesterday a wonderful site greated me :D

Pheasants at feeder, mesh chewed and wood munched :censored:

Cheers, Did a couple in the front garden a couple of years ago, haven't had any since. So with a bit of luck...one or two more and that will be it for squirrels. I'll have to buy another feeder or maybe get one of them posh chainmail jobbies Millet has :hmm: I'll still keep the traps going as it's next to a stream so there's bound to be rats and other pests...Who knows i might even beat Ditchy to a mink :laugh:

you have no chance of beating ditchy, he,s on the ball now , its only time and lack of mink thats stopping him, i think he wants a mink fur coat , it only takes about 100 skins , so he might have it by xmas

Nice one, and now the Juglans regia are safe for a bit longer. I've not done many this year coz the keeper pissed me off so I left them for him, there will be loads next year when the lazy b*****d hasn't done owt.

:thumbs-up: they are regia...with a bit of luck i'll manage to be here in 20 years and have walnuts coming out my ears  Only done these two squirrels in the traps this year...plus a few rats in my other traps.

Its a shame when things go sour...sure you'll find something else to keep you busy.

I'd missed that! Cheeky c***!

Anyway, hadn't ye noticed? I caught a bloody mink, fair and square ..... Just have to beat the soddin badgers to the next one! B*stards! Cost me a Fenn Double Entry that did ~ And my poxy mink!

Never mind. I now have it 90% sussed out for round here - and a sheet of Jabolite in my kit room ;) I'm into the 'Irish Flow' now so I'm happy enough to wait till later. No rush and much else aside from free mink to concern myself with just yet :)

Incidentally, TF: I ran a word past the Moddies in here the other night, mate. Pointed out that a leg caught squirrel with no obvious sign of a legal tunnel, and in That (allbeit fasinating) condition may not have been the most onerous stuff to feed the watching Anti's ..... But they've left it so it's not my place to argue. Personally, I'd have cropped the shot and not mentioned the leg catch. Bit late in the day now, of course. Their printers will have ran  They've got what they come here for. But a bit of forethought ....?

That said - and as I also said to the Mod's; What a f*cking fasinating shot! I've nicked it, quite shamelessly, for my own records! :D I've simply never seen and recognised such a thing before and - no word of a lie - the very day ye posted that one, I'd quite deliberately given my own donkey a good, post winter, brush out in order to stuff his loose fur into the hedge near my own Feeders. The local wild birds go frenzied for it! :good:

I did see you'd caught one :clapper::D ...but you surely can't be claiming it :o:D:laugh:

With regard to the pic, i never thought about the tunnel being in the pic, though i can assure you it is the same tunnel and trap in my first pictures.Leaving a trap exposed is something i would never do, i'd end up catching my greedy mallard trio if i did. I do have a picture showing that the squirrel is from out of the tunnel, though i guess it could be argued that it wasn't in there in the first place...As it was all above board and legal, i shared the scene as i found it. I do get your point and if it does happen again i will keep it to myself

I must also admit to pilfering some of other peoples fantastic pictures :o and as such am more than happy for you to do the same...You antis will have to pay  the charge is one hunting act :tongue2::laugh:

Good on you for brushing the donkey :good: mine get spaniel hair and will soon be getting some of my own.
