Dog friendly jobs?

Recommended Posts

I can't find a job where I can earn enough money and still have time for dogs. I would consider doing any job where you can take a dog to work, but I haven't got many ideas. I would love to just be a dog walker but I am not sure I can make a living from it. Do you any of you have dog friendly jobs? or if not then how do you have time for dogs?

hey mate dont rule out that dog walking, thats a very lucrative business.there two i know of in my area.in fact the girl 5 doors down from me does it.i have no idea the rates but she seems to be doing very well.maybe something you should investigate if thats a job you would like.dont know how long you have been out of work, but maybe a good idea to get in touch with your local jobcentre.there schemes and help in place and in some cases they will finacially help you out.my mate started his own tliling business and they helped him out loads and even gave him a grant to get started.wish you all the best.

I'm an estate gardener and I take my dog to work with me everyday. I actually asked my boss if it would be ok before I got the dog. He's got a bed in the mess room for when I'm doing jobs where he can't be with me.

I forgot I made this thread, thanks for the replies. I am not out of work, but I leave at 7:30am and get home anything between 6:30-7pm which is a long day for me, nevermind a dog shut in doors/kenneled. It just wouldn't be fair on it. I need to sort my financials out for a while and I will hopefully give dog walking a go. I just need to save enough to cover bills for the first couple of months while I start out I think.

Must have some well off customers, £20 a day X 20...£400 a month? I would imagine most people tend to want their dogs taken out midday though so I doubt you could work a full day. But if you can get enough dog-friendly dogs walking together at a time then you might make a living working 2 hours a day. Seems too good to be true really.
