victoria vixen 0
I am who I've always said I was...period. Nothing has been different with the exception of my last name, which isn't legally "vixen" although my 1st name really is Victoria and yes, I am a lady, quite one, if I do say so myself! No I am not conceited either.....But I am very knowledgeable on trapping, snaring, and nuisance or pest control....Why?.... because I've lived and breathed since 1971. One should understand that throughout my career, I never felt I had anything to prove....except to do my job and do it well. My self esteem is quite intact! My coming out into the spotlight serves no purpose to me, although it may please a few others or answer a few questions. I am actually worth far more "dead than alive!" NightRunner 0
Doesn't look familiar.....but sure I've heard of Red O'Hearn and Phil Brown and Don Bolte and The Leggets and Bud Hall and Craig O Gorman and Marty Stenecker and the late Pud Long etc, etc ,etc,..............Duh? You see anyone who has gotten an O'gorman catalog has heard of these names. Phil happens to be on trapperman. Many of the people you made mention I am proud to say they are my friends. Like Marvin and Leslie I am sure you know them also. Don't think that there aren't any women out there either. I am sure you can name a few of these guys then also. Or this chap. Well then just give me a little hint who you claim your grandfather is. Quote Link to post
victoria vixen 0
After several PM's from the UK members on this forum who are concerned with this getting much too "confrontational", I will respect their wishes and suggestions and refrain by not furthering anymore comments on this matter. I am, after all, merely a "guest" here, and my conduct as an American, should reflect one of manners and respect! I am on here to learn and to share my experiences, if not even just to be entertained. I appologise if my I have offended anyone with my demeaner.( Perhaps it's me Scottish blood ...) My original "post" was to share a DVD on the foothold trap that they use to harvest furbearers and to control predators in the states and Canada. I only did this as a request from a fellow trapper who lives in the states and "visits" The Hunting Life but could not post it himself due to software problems. I did not know the politics behind the making of the DVD (nor do I care ) or may have reconsidered posting it. I am grateful to the many members on this forum who have PM-ed me and welcomed me as one of there own. I hope to continue to share thoughts and idea's throughout the future..................Respectfully, Victoria PS Nightrunner,...nice photo's. It didn't occur to me until I saw the pictures, that you were a woman too....not sure how I overlooked that! Edited March 8, 2007 by victoria vixen Quote Link to post
NightRunner 0
I'll stop my input on this. VV Let's face it I posted pics of some famous trappers you made mention but don't even know who they are. But for you English Men those are some of the bigger longline trappers in the US. That is not something you can just side step, there the men that forge there way trapping every day. NO MATTER WHAT. But like I said I am proud to call many of them my friends. Quote Link to post
