Cheers. hang a dang mate, surely the only person that knows if they are flushing/hunting, is the person doing the said task so if im out hunting, but say im flushing to the gun, but cant get a safe shot when said quarry bolts, an dog catches by mistake............. who can prove it was intentional hunting, an not flushing gone wrong Quote Link to post

From folk i have spoken to it seems that trying to convince folk you are using a pair of lurchers to flush to the gun is a bit difficult to 'prove' whereas if you have spaniels etc then your pretty safe. If you have a gun license and it with you, it helps as well. And its the situation isn't it, you kill a fox with a dog, while working cover in the day with a gun, hey it's not your fault the fox didnt bolt but turned and faced the dog in cover. Bit different than standing in a field in the night, in the open, with a lamp and slip lead and no gun, trying to convince folk you were 'shooting and retrieving' Quote Link to post
