markha 99
Millsy, A break may have done you good, I have to admit I have been pre-occupied with firearms lately and the airgun, although its always been out with me, it hasnt had a look in till yesterday...I pulled in to one of my permissions where the crow problem was, I cleared it up with the air rifle and shotty and that was some months ago, just before the leaves returned on the trees,,wel low and behold another larger batch has appeared and these were young birds that didnt know me or my silver van The 410c was on the back seat along with the HMR,I pulled up under the tree, reached for the 410 and through the drivers window I quickly dispatched 2 crows before the rest of the mob could take wing! Fantastic stuff and this has got me right back on to my airgun again, and because of the sheeramount of crows about again I even have a days paid work on the farm, building as big a ladder trap as I can get with the farmers wood and chicken wire. Now Im itching to get back out on the rabbits with a bit of close distance stalking again. So I hope this short break leaves you itching to get back into it again. Chin up, shoot straight and jobs a good un. Just an observation, and don't take it the wrong way, You were really fired up for ages about shooting, getting your permissions, getting guns, then when you got it all it wasnt long before you went off it, sometimes the thrill of the objective is the driving force that produces enjoyment. All you have to do now is rekindle the fun of taking part in what you set out to achieve, if you only ever get the buzz from the journey there, you will never enjoy being where you wanted to be. pointer 543
Have you lost interest in hunting or has the type of hunting you do lost it's appeal a little? There is a difference, sometimes things get repetitive and it's time to try something new. Quote Link to post
