I had a hen sat on 13 eggs and all 13 hatched, unfortunately 1 died but I think a dozen is more than enough for her to run round after.

I've took them home for a couple of weeks until their a bit bigger to rough it at work with the rest of them free range.

good hatch that mate, had a few like that this year 11 out of 11 and 9 out of 9, all gamefowl aswell. just keep an eye on the maggies, had them take 3 chicks out of 5 of a ginger hen, but then i caught 3 maggies in a trap so were equal now :tongue2:

She seems to be coping ok with them for now, there safe from Maggie's and stuff too I've put a roof on their pen till their bigger. We've got the mother in laws staffy at ours for the week and the hen taught that to keep away last night :)

I'd keep the best stag and kill the cock

The older stag from the first batch is here to stay I think, really long legged bonny bird and he's just starting to tread the hens so I might rehome the old boy. All the cocks out of the youngsters pictured are getting necked if nobody wants them, i've done 6 so far :icon_eek:
