Casso 1,261
iv got my pup bring bak what ever i lob for her but shes workt out that shes geting a treat when she gets bak with it so shes dropin what ever shes carrying about 3 ft away from me and looking for the treat how can i stop her doing this the pup is shy of coming into your personal space, encourage her to come in by contact play ,dont warn the dog off from making any form of contact with you, dogs that are put off making contact as pups jumping up , mouthing, etc can develop a sense that the few feet around the handler is a no go area, and stop short through past experience, lose the treats, and encourage play with lots of contact, use 2 items for the retrieve, and encourage the pup to make contact with the first to get the second,,,the reward should be , her coming back with first for you to throw second,,best of luck,, 2 Quote Link to post
