socks 32,253
your right mate eggs are very high in protein ... BUT they are also high in cholestarol and bad fats ... also if you grind down the eggshell it is a good form of calcium ... however you should lightly cook eggs as raw egg whites bind to the biotin that a dog ingests and prevents it from being absorbed ..... the problem with eggs in a canine diet is that their gut is desinged to absorb protein from meats and not diary products ... you cant always class canine and human dietry needs together ...... scottish lurcher 185
Cheers. Milk is mostly water though as so I can't see how it's high in protein. It's just fat droplets in water...good for vitamins (calcium etc) but as far as protein goes I didn't think it was anywhere near the top. a friend of mines is a vet and got told same thing by my vet milk for a adult dog is very bad for them as some dogs can not digest it and cause somach complants in some dogs scotish lurcher there is more protein in chicken and fish than there is in red meat ............ sorry socks your quite right i ment to say iron as to much rich red meat aint good either also it seem to make dogs hyperactive Quote Link to post

macker 5
well i dont know any dog man who can take a dog out of his yard at any time and give its best perfomance. but in saying that i dont let my dogs gain weight over the summer months either. and give them more walking during the summer. was just saying that some nuts while not hunting hunting the dog is not going to do too much harm.till just before next season Quote Link to post

Eggs that are cooked, contain only low density cholesterol ( the good stuff). When i was boxing in the 's,it was all red meat this and red meat that. You wouldn't see a boxer touching it now, except very occasionally. When i want cheap protien for meself, its baked bean's,egg white's,tuna and sardines oh and the odd bag of nut's.F**k me i forgot we were talking about dog's.
