Mickey Finn 3,016
Force fetch solves most any retrieving problem. There are quite a few books on the subject. The key, like most types of training. Is stick to one approach, be consistent, and pay attention to your timing. Good luck! Quote Link to post

Bosun11 537
Lot's of youngsters can administer a crunch, it's usually with the excitment and effort of the run, being easier to stop the struggling retrieve with a still bunny. What i've found, is that if given a few night where your hitting numbers and the dog is constantly on the go and the catches are many, 'some' dogs settle down and put all thier effort into the catch and ease off on the crunch. birddog 1,354
it could also be a soft dog, ie one that doesn't like the bunny kicking and scratching on the retrieve and bites harder to stop it hurting, if its that, often experience and lots of catches will see an improvement Quote Link to post
