Tiercel 6,986
10 yards in the right place is better than 100 in the wrong place. The shortest drop I do is a gateway, I have a few drops where I cannot even get a 25 yard net out fully. You are never going to have great numbers but you will pick up rabbits even if it is one or two. TC 1 Quote Link to post
Rolfe 2
In any rabbit infested bank or hedgerow you will find areas more populated than others, checking the runs leading to the buries should tell you where the most rabbits are likely to hit the net. If conditions are favourable then these areas are where you want to be dropping the net after dark. It always pays to spend a little time in the daytime to make sure the area you are going to work is debris free and that it will (hopefully) produce a few rabbits after dark. I work with three 50 yard nets and one 75 yard quick set and i can use one of them or all of them depending on the rabbit activity. Often if only working a short section of netting you will get rabbits running along the net.......you can tail each end of the net IE turn the end section of each net towards the approaching rabbits at right angles to intercept any rabbits that run the length of the net.
