web22 27
hi all,for the last couple of days i've noticed wasps hanging around my hutch, they seem to be landing on the meat left over before i get a chance to get rid of it,now flies are bad enough but wasps are just fecking horrid!are they common around this time of year or could this be an isolated type of incident,i know giving them meat late and taking it out early will help but was just wondering if i'm alone with this one... Ideation 8,216
Happens here mate. Makes me paranoid, bet it would f**k a kit up a bit. Mind you, was pulling out some meat the other morn and the jill (i think) had killed a couple. Quote Link to post

ferretmaniac 5
Have u thought about using a fly strip within the hutch? FM Quote Link to post
B.P.R 2,798
If i put a fly strip in my hutch I would come back 10 minutes later and I'd have 3 hobs rolled up together like a sausage roll!!' Put traps outside the hutch and scrim/ net over the hutch. Does the job and you can leave the meat in the a bit longer for them to eat because it won't be infested with fly eggs or wasps.
