Rommels 7
Airarms, replacing the filling adaptor? Currently having an S410 in .22, I've gone and got another in .177 (was only a matter of time) being Pre-AT it still has the old filling probe style adaptor rather than the newer T-style as such to keep it simple with the bottle. What would be needed? (and at what cost roughly) or would it simply be a better option to pick up a quick fitting kit from best fittings ?? Edited July 7, 2011 by Rommels Quote Link to post

Phantom 631
As far as price goes, best fittings aint too bad, HOWEVER......... They are charging £3.00 for a part that PIR TEK (all over the country) are charging .37p (+vat) for! I found Pir Tek (suppliers of High Pressure equipment to almost every industry on the planet) as I went past it on the bus one day and noticed their sign. Got off at the next stop and walked back in total I got 2 of everything I needed that day for less than £2.00 inc vat. To buy the same parts from the RFD was going to cost me over £25.00 What happens is that people don't realise is these "Specialised Parts" for our guns etc, are actually very common parts in use in other industries world wide and due to the extreme pressures involved in those other industries, what would last us a couple of years or even a life time as airgunners using less than 4000lbs psi of high pressure are considdered as almost monthly consumables in industries such as granite and marble air cutting that are using hundreds of thousands psi. Go to the Suppliers of these and spend pennies instead of pounds Take in the part to them and they will probably have it in stock, or next day. One local rfd said to me "I'll have to put in a special order to AA for one of those, its a part that doesn't normally fail, they will probably have to order it from CZ or CZ-USA, so its not going to be cheap" later that day, the brand spanking new part was back on my gun Thank you Pir Tek :notworthy: Tony Quote Link to post

We've got a RFD of similar standard here that I'd rather not touch with a barge pole for similar reasons, Will keep Pir Tek in mind though after a quick nosey through their catalogue I must say I'm lost Airarms, replacing the filling adaptor? I'll take a crack at that pc soon enough... won't know what's hit it but it'll certainly work . ATB, Charlie Edited July 7, 2011 by Rommels Quote Link to post
